Live Tracking

Follow the gliders in real time during each task, right from the competition home page.

While a competition is running, anyone can follow the action live from the home page — no app or login needed. GldComp integrates with leading tracking providers and embeds the map directly into the site.

How it works

• The home page shows a Live Tracking panel with a tab per class, so you can watch the gliders in the class you care about.
• Tracking is provided through GldComp’s integrations with Glide and Seek and Puretrack.io — the live map is embedded right in the page, with an option to open it full-screen in a new window.
• When no task is set for a class on a given day, the panel simply says so.

For tracking to light up, each glider needs a Flarm ID on its registration and the day’s task needs to be active. Pilots can set their Flarm ID during registration — and it can be auto-filled from the OGN/Flarm database using the glider’s registration.
